The Street where White Tulips Never Die
Vueltas
sin rumbo
yo duermo igual
El techo
Se mueve
algo siento mal
Disfruta
milagros
no veas asia tras
El rumbo
que tomas
indica tu paz
Bajan
las aves
nadan en tu mar
Los peces
te brincan
buscan tu llamar
A siegas
vivimos
escaza la luz
En busca
de rumbo
persiguen la cruz
En llanto
en frio
se asombra tu ver
Deleitos
se brindan
pa dar um crecer
Divino
el mundo
respire mi voz
Disfruta
cariños
delicias de dios
Hasta
los piratas
en mar cantaran
La risa
del viento
lejos mandara
De ahi
llueven dias
en vidas alla
Soñar
nueve vidas
sin dias de mal
The Street where White Tulips Never Die
Delicias de Muridia
Prologo:
“Padre tiempo eres lento
debilitas nuestros valores
viajan juntos hacia arriba
Igual Auhenot disfruta tanto
Pisan arena, dulces islas
Cats, Cats Everywhere
I’m walking down the street heading home, hurried. For the past ten minutes there’s been a cat following me. I’m usually not bothered by cats, but this one kept talking to me.
“Hey come on man, give me some fruit,” said the cat as it kept up with my speed.
“No talking cat you’re freaking me out.”
“At least let me have your shoes,” the cat said, panting.
“HAH! Why do you need shoes? They don’t FIT you,” I said panting because I was sprinting now. I turn the corner into a semi lit empty alley with brick patterns on both sides of the buildings. I barge into the first door to the right.
YES! It’s open.
I shut the door behind me. I hear the cat scratching away at the door outside.
“Stupid talking cat,” I smugly think to myself. I flip the switch to turn on the lights.
“Hello? I didn’t mean to barge in, but I was being chased by…um… a giant scary mugger. Hello? Guess no one’s here.” Around the room there are chairs and desks. The white walls are decorated by certifications of real estate agents.
“So, a real estate office. Wonder why they left the door unlocked.” Outside the cat is still pawing at the door. I ignore it and continue through another door to see if there’s another way out. This next room smells of oil paints and burnt wood. The lights are bright in this white empty room with a lonely painting easel on the left side and two chairs. As I walk in through the back door, the front door opens.
A short thin man walks in.
“Who are you?” he asks.
“Sorry to barge in. I was being chased by someone and managed to lose them when I entered your building, I assume. Why was your door unlocked by the way?”
“Ah. Chased ,huh. Thrilling. I am a man that allows adventure to find me,” he smiled, wiping his hand on his tan painting robe.
“Yea, that and robbers.”
He chuckled as he sat in one of the chairs.
“Yea, um is it cool if I go out the front door?”
“Of course,” he said gleefully. “Who is it you’re running away from?”
I looked at him, then at the ceiling. “This guy, big guy, chased me trying to rob me,” I said nervously.
“You mean a small cat.” A voice from the front door emerged. It was the small black cat entering the room!
The man, startled, got up from his seat; his hands shaking with angst and excitement, his eyes bulging trying to process what he just witnessed. I slowly backed up, opening up the door behind me slightly. The man suddenly stopped shaking and sat back down to continue painting.
“Hello Eugene.” The man said.
“Hello Jimmy,” said the cat.
I stopped and exclaimed at the man. “You know this cat?”
“The cat? No. The man inside the cat? Yes. He’s an old buddy of mine who tried to connect with animals spiritually for years trying to get in one or something like that. I guess it finally worked, huh, Eugene”
“That is correct” The cat responded not losing sight of my fruit cup which I still held in my hand.
“Say Jimmy, you mind holding this guy down? I’ve been chasing him for some time” Eugene the cat growled approaching me.
Jimmy laughed and approached me as well.
“This is the big guy that tried to rob you?” he asked me. “Eugene’s a good friend of mine and I think he’s going to get what he wants.”
As they both approached me slowly I took a deep breath. I sighed in discontent and I flung the cup at Jimmy covering him in fruit delight and got out the back door shutting it tight behind me.
As I was walking through the exit I heard Jimmy’s voice muffled. “No Eugene. Stop it. AH YOU STUPID IDIOT. STOP! AHHH”
Jimmy was the fruit dish now. I whistled exiting the building’s back door and continued back towards the fruit vendor, not home. I needed my fruit cup. What can possibly happen, worse?
American October Fest
October has begun
The clouds erase the sun
The dead rise from the dirt
The trees will start to hurt
Their leaves will travel far
To dance with twinkling stars
But wind knocks at your door
The ghosts do plenty more
No use in screaming dear
They’ll grow the more you fear
Until November reigns
The monsters scare the sane
Ghazal: Ghosts
When I step outside I start to play,
The world is an open shell with remnant ghosts
I’ll live in a dream or sit in a chair,
I’ll ride the bus downtown and talk to fragile ghosts
I stole that body’s joy, when I took away its car,
I crashed it in a building; they pulled me, the helpful ghosts
I pulled the sun under my sleeve, with energy I jumped,
The universe took me away with gravitational ghosts
