In Her Dreams

The queen lies dormant under a blanket of slowly, moving fog. The moon, her loyal vigilante, keeps the darkness from invading her peace. An orchestra of creatures serenade her gentle rhythm. In and out of slumber she pursues her distant dreams.

In and out of slumber she pursues her distant dreams. When she turns she moves everything. She can find you with her reach. But she returns to a restful lull. All is calm as it was before.

Everything continues, order settling once more.

Come and rest under the swaying trees, be a part of simplicity’s bliss. Be her loving companion and let love reign eternally.

Dormant Ones Arise

The outlaws are coming,

drawing rumbles and quakes.

The walls humming in unison,

tables dancing with aches.

In the distance there’s motion

like a wave of red dust.

Hooves that clatter in rhythm,

masked men, demons in gust.

The town’s people continue

like a peaceful afternoon.

They ignore the closing chaos,

unnoticed approaching monsoon.

A young lady kneels down

placing her palm on the ground.

A thunderous screech in the distance,

the cavalry’s victory inbound.

The River

I stared over the river, stress free, with all my faculties in order, just existing, just being free.

I began walking back to my car trying to remember the last time I felt this light. Things were going the way they should and I felt life backing my every step, while God illuminated my path.

I understood one thing that day. There is something magical about being in sync with everything. Very few times we experience this, and I’m not sure how someone arrives at this state. What I do know is that I was blessed that day and I carry that memory for another day.
